A Royal Danish navy sailor assigned to the Royal Danish navy Absalon-class command and support ship HMDS Absalon (L16) handles a heaving line, pierside at Naval Base Kiel-Tirpitzhafen, Germany after completing exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2019. BALTOPS is the premier annual maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region, marking the 47th year of one of the largest exercises in Northern Europe enhancing flexibility and interoperability among allied and partner nations.
