Description

Two HMS Cardiff radar operators Able Seaman Ken Griffiths (right) and Leading Seaman Steve Cook dressed for action:

Anti-flash hood and gloves, a life jacket and 'once-only' suit around waist. Thick woolly items of clothing including a jumper and socks, Carrying this kit and a gas respirators at all times was compulsory. HMS Cardiff is acting as Anti Air Warfare Coordination (AAWC) ship in San Carlos waters, Falkland Islands.
