Description
Nederlands: Kaart laat de plaatsen zien waar Duitse bombardementen plaatsvonden en waar Duitse parachutisten landen. De aanduiding 'kazernes' slaat op de naast elkaar gelegen Nieuwe Alexanderkazerne en Legerkamp Waalsdorp, waar door bombardementen respectievelijk 66 en 58 dodelijke slachtoffers vielen. Belangrijk doel van de aanval was de gevangenneming van het staatshoofd, koningin Wilhelmina. Daarin zouden ze niet slagen. Vanuit militair oogpunt gezien, was de uitkomst van de Slag om Den Haag een overwinning voor het Nederlandse leger. In totaal vielen er 515 doden aan de Nederlandse zijde. Exacte cijfers over de Duitse verliezen ontbreken.
