Español: Milan, 21 de enero 1850 - La noticia de la cesion de la Lombardia sigue siendo objeto de todas las conversaciones, y las cartas de Viena no dejan hablar de ella. Es, sin embargo, notable que los periodicos no hayan dicho una palabra. Tal vez este silencio procede de la severidad de la censura, y de la supresion de la Presse.
Yo no creo tal arreglo; pero la persistencia del rumor parece probar que hay en ello un fondo de verdad. Lo indudable es la perseverancia de un partido en Viena que tiene firme la persuasion de que a pesar de las victorias de Radetzky, nuestra provincia es para el imperio un obstaculo para la organizacion politica, y una dificultad militar. Ahora se dice que se formarà con ella un estado para el duque de Modena. Una carta del general Wratislaw, jefe del primer cuerpo de ejercito que guarnece a Viena, en la que el general anuncia a un amigo su dimision, alude a esta combinacion en favor del monarca modenes. |
