I have as much every right to vote in this DR as anybody else on Commons, you will not stop me from exercising that right. There's not a doubt in my mind you nominated this map because you don't like it. This flag map has two or three main problems: the flag, the map and the title:

1. The flag is the Iraqi flag from 1991-2003. During that time Iraq did not make any interarab or panarab integration attempt with Syria or Jordan. However, Iraq did so before, but in these times before it was a different flag (without "Allahu akbar").
2. The map includes Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine/Israel. A united state of these states was projected only once in history, however, it was a Hashimite plan 1941/46 and it was never called "Greater Iraq". That name would have alienated all the other involved states, espacially Syria, so the name of that project was "Arab union" instead. Not nessecary to mention that the project failed.
3. A "Greater Iraq" plan never offically was announced or proposed, especially not by the Baathists - unimportant that they planned Syrian-Iraqi unions in 1963 and 1979. Generally, the term "Greater Iraq" is bullshit. Just this. Nothing else. --Roxanna (talk) 13:04, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
