I have an original vector PostScript/PDF version of the PNG of that image, which you could have used, instead of trying to reconvert the raster PNG into vector. Also, what is the mysterious light red or pink area on the east bank of the Jordan?? AnonMoos 03:32, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
- I uploaded a version of the SVG based on the original PostScript, which got rid of the mysterious light red area on the east bank... AnonMoos 11:39, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

deprecated function in your monobook.js
[edit]Dear user, I noticed that you use the includePage function in your monobook.js page.
This function is now obsolete, as the importScript function was introduced with rev:35064 to the MediaWiki Javascript core library wikibits.js. It also keeps track of already imported files.
To allow us to remove includePage from Mediawiki:Common.js I'd kindly ask you to replace its use with importScript (same syntax!). Thanks! --Dschwen 17:03, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT (talk) 06:24, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Según la web de Naipes Heraclio Fournier: Las imágenes de las mismas, registradas por Fournier, se han difundido por todo el mundo convirtiéndose en parte de la iconografía histórica nacional [1]. Salud. --Javier ME (talk) 10:53, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Commons:Deletion requests/Heraclio Fournier cards have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them. |

Thank you for creating and uploading the SVG file. Regarding your question: A new version is available at http://www.cancer.gov/espanol/cancer/entendiendo/cancer/Slide35 (watermarked by the NCI). So I think it is OK to assume that the original image (published by the NCI) is in the public domain. I just changed the license template (PD-USGov-NIH). -- Common Good (talk) 19:23, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi!
My name is Edoardo Bit, I am an architect and also a “young researcher” of the University of Ferarra (Italy). I am writing a book on the “green walls technologies” and I have found very interesting a photo in your page. So, I would kindly ask you if I can use it in my book. Obviously, if you gently decide to grant me the permission, your name (or your nickname) and the link of the picture will be correctly cited in the credits of my publication.
