Français : Dessin de l'île de Wallis (Pacifique Sud) par Samuel Wallis, vers 1767. Cette année-là, Samuel Wallis a donné son nom à cette île, appelée 'Uvea par les insulaires. Sur la gauche se trouve l'îlot rocheux de Nukufotu, puis au fond Nukuloa et Nukuteatea (nord de l'île, district de Hihifo)[1].
