English: Postacrad of Ship Cafe, Venice, Cal. Title continues: "'An ancient ship run in a modern way.' Ward McFadden, Prop[rietor]." The ship cafe establishment was built alongside the Abbot Kinney pier in 1905, and eventually demolished in 1946. Postcard # 9837 is on the divided back, which also bears an advertisement for the Balloon Route Excursion in the message panel. The approximate date is 1911. This untraveled back carries publishing information, a stampbox, and the usual printed messages, but in this case has a long advertisement for and logo of the Los Angeles Pacific Electric's Balloon Route Excursion.
