Description
English: Portrait of Sam Houston. This is a copy daguerreotype. Houston served in the War of 1812 and was governor of both Tennessee and Texas, making him the only person in United States history to be a governor of two separate states. The city of Houston, Texas is named after him. The daguerreotype is in its original case.
