English: Located 30 to 40 kilometres from the city of Polonnaruwa, Kaudulla Wewa is situated in the Kaudulla National Park, considered to be a prime spot for bird enthusiasts. Eighty nine square kilometers large, the origination of the Lake is shrouded in some mystery, though many believe that it was built by King Mahasena (275-301 AD). |
