Object history
English: Coat of arms of the Danish market town Hadsund. Granted 1937. The arms depicts the 1904 railway bridge over the Mariager Fjord. The two arches symbolise the two former municipalities that were merged into one. The four barrulets wavy symbolise the four settlements in the former municipality, Skelum, Visborg, Vive and Hadsund. The crescent symbolise the new municipality while the stars are a symbol of hope for a bright future.
Dansk: Hadsunds byvåben. Tildelt 1937. Våbnet afbilder jernbanebroen fra 1904 over Mariager Fjord. De to buer symboliserer de to kommuner, der blev sammenlagt. De fire bølgelinier symboliserer den tidligere kommunes fire bebyggelser, Skelum, Visborg, Vive og Hadsund. Halvmånen symboliserer den nye kommune, mens stjernerne symboliserer ønsket om en lys fremtid.
