Still Alive!...

Hello all!

Yes it's me Cazza, I am still alive honest!!  Apologies for just disappearing off the face of the earth back in.....March, gosh was it really that long ago since I posted?!  I hope I find you all well?  I'm also hoping that I'll be able to start getting back into crafting soon and at the very least I can catch up with you all here and see your gorgeous creations!  I need to get some inspiration and see what new purchases I need to buy from all the lovely goodies I've missed out on over the past 5 months!!

And the reason for my disappearance.....well life here has changed dramatically for me and Hubby.  I'm not sure if any of you remember me talking about our plans to adopt but for the past x weeks we've been the proud new parents of 2 little ones!  Yes our new children moved in and our lives have been turned completely upside down.....but in a good way!  We found out at the beginning of April that the 'match' was 90% certain so then the mad re-decorating and creating of 2 new bedrooms (and de-commissioning of 1 craft room!) started, then the furniture / bed buying, clothes, toys etc etc and what with working full time too it was just mad busy!!  We then went to 'Matching Panel' and had the match confirmed, I left my job on the Friday, met the children and started an intense introduction period the following Monday and they moved in on the Thursday the week after.  It's not been long at all really but already it feels like they've always belonged here, well most days it feels like that anyway ha ha!!  So we have a brother and sister sibling group, one of each, lovely!  It's been a massive learning curve for all of us and it's been very tough at times but I really feel like we've turned a little corner over the past couple of weeks and things have much improved.  Not that they were ever that bad, just the odd day really, but I guess the more we're getting to know each other the better it's getting.  Our little lad went to his new school just before they broke for half term in July and that was really good for all of us, for him so come September he'll be more settled and for us to have a taste of the school run, gosh all the walking I'm going to be doing I'll be super fit lol!  The children have been amazing and have settled sooooo well , they're eating and sleeping well and even the naughty stuff isn't really that naughty.....not yet anyway and I hope I haven't just jinxed myself lol!  They're just testing us and pushing the boundaries as all children do.  It's so far so good, I'm absolutely shattered but in a really, really good way!  :o))

So as for crafting, well I decided to leave all my Design Teams as I didn't think it was fair to take such a long break without knowing if I'd ever be able to get back to crafting again!  I really hope I will be able to but with no pressure I can do it as and when I can...and with 2 little ones who knows when that will be?!  I'm hoping to make a start on Christmas cards at some point...but we'll see what happens!  I've missed out on loads of new stash so I'll be checking out your blogs to see what gorgeous goodies are out there.  I hope everyone in blog land is well?

I'm afraid I can't share any piccies or much information on our little ones as obviously there's no way of restricting / limiting visitors on blogger to friends only.  But suffice to say their ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ha ha!  So I hope to be back soon to see you all and catch up with everything that's been happening with you all.  Until then, I'm off to bed for some much needed zzzzzz's!

Take care all,
Lots of love,

Onto my card and this is my Mum's Mother's Day card.  Probably not the usual stamp you'd expect to see on a Mother's Day card but as my Mum loves card making too I thought it was perfect!  Oh, and yes it's another Tilda.....just like buses ay, lol!  Here's my card...

Back again, just for fun!

Howdy Peeps,

Wow, what a beautiful day we're having down here.  Glorious sunshine and warm, it finally feels like spring is on it's way.  Daemo and I have the day off tomorrow too so fingers crossed the weather stays like this!

I made this card for one of my netball team mates who is just getting into card making.....talk about pressure, lol!  We've spoken about Magnolia stamps so I just had to use a Tilda, that and the fact that I haven't inked up a Tilda for sooooo long and I was desperately missing her, lol!  So here she is...

A close up of Daffodil Tilda...

Oops, it didn't last!

Evening,

Hope you're all well?  What's happened to the spring weather then, netball tonight was absolutely fffffreeeeezing!!  So much so that I stayed after our game to support one of our club teams and only managed to watch half of their game as I couldn't feel my hands, bbrrrrrrrr!  But another win in the bag for us and player of the match for me too, wahooooo!!  :o)

Onto my card and as the title suggests, my organisation didn't last long did it?  Lol!  I was sure I'd scheduled a post so I'm blaming blogger.....but obviously it wasn't blogger's fault, just me and my usual tardiness, ha ha!  So, better late than never here's my Pollycraft DT card, this week our challenge is...

Sketch Saturday...on a Saturday wahoo!!

Morning All!

Yes I'm actually here on a Saturday can you believe it?!!  See, I told you I was getting organised...although I still need to catch up with you all, but that's what weekends are for right?!  Hope everyone is well?  My week has been pretty manic as per!  Working all week and I've been out three nights too - ooooo get me, no wonder I'm knackered poor old bird lol!  Daemo is home this weekend (wahoo!) so we're out visiting today and tonight but tomorrow will hopefully be a quiet one and we can get some jobs done.  Nothing exciting, just sorting out the kitchen cupboards (boring!) but you feel so much better when it's done don't you?!  See, I'm definitely getting old (am old!) lol!!

Onto my card and this one I made for my Nephew Henry who was 15 last Sunday.  His birthday is the same day as his Mum's (my Sister-In-Law) so we went out for lunch, v nice!  Teenage boys cards.....have to be the hardest ones to make don't you think?!!  Here's my effort...

I'm baaaaack!!.....

Coo-ee, Did you miss me??

My Internet has been down for well over a week now, man it's hard to live without it!  You just don't realise how much you rely on it until it's not there anymore.....shopping, food shopping, banking and of course catching up with you talented ladies!  But not having any Internet meant some of the mundane jobs got done, like the ironing so I guess it wasn't all bad?!.....oooooo, it's so good to have it back!!

I hope you've all been well over the last couple of weeks?  Typically my Internet went down just as I had caught up with you all...and now I'm behind again lol!!  I'd love to go back over the last fortnight but I think I'd still be catching up in a week's time so I'm going to start from today instead!

Onto my card and this is my Sketch Saturday DT Card.  I made this for our friends daughter who was 13 on Monday...

On Time, wahoo!!

Good morning all!

So how was your weekend?  Did you get up to anything exciting?  Daemo was home this weekend so we were busy getting jobs done, we have loads going on at home at the moment but it's all VERY exciting so the jobs are VERY exciting too (and VERY expensive, lol!!). All good fun though  :o))

As the title says.....I'm actually on time with my Pollycraft DT post today, wahoo!!  Told you I was getting more organised, lol!  On Friday Paula released a brand new character to the shop, Celeste Amberglow.  She's absolutely adorable and I just know you're all going to love her (if you haven't seen her already, click here).  So I've used her today for this weeks challenge which is...
