Plot[]

After finding out the truth, Captain Price confronts General Shepherd about the remaining missile and the betrayal from Shadow Company's forces. The two then both get into a brief argument. Shepherd reveals his true nature, telling Price that Phillip Graves is "a dog with a bone" and suggest him to not go after him. Price then threatens the General and ends the call.

Price then gathers all other members of Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros together, where he announces his plan to take back the Fuerzas Especiales Headquarters, secure Valeria and kill Commander Graves. Price then states that this is a fight against their own, and, they are not 141 or Los Vaqueros on this, re-affirming that they are a team: Ghost Team.

Alejandro then devised a plan: Ghost Team split into two, with Team 1, consisting of Price, Gaz, him and a pilot will be taking the tunnel entry to secure themselves an attack helicopter, while Team 2 consisted of Ghost Soap, Rodolfo and the rest of the Los Vaqueros will be waiting on the entry gate until Price fired on it.

Ghost Team then commenced their attack, which went exceptionally well, as Team 1 managed to avoid the traps set up by Shadow Company and took an attack helicopter, allowing for the entrance of Team 2, who then fought their ways to the Fuerzas Especiales Headquarters. Meanwhile, Gaz and Alejandro went to Hangar 3 to secure Valeria, through careful and silents maneuvers, the two managed to avoid being detected by Shadow Company contractors and reached Hangar 3, where they eliminated all the Shadow Company contractors inside it and accomplished their objective.

In the meantime, Team 1 breached the Fuerzas Especiales Headquarters and spotted Graves fleeing. Which prompted Soap, Ghost, and Rodolfo to chase after him while the rest of the Los Vaqueros secured the Headquarters. When the three of them reached the outside of the training area, the helicopter that Price was in got shot down by a rocket fired by Shadow Company contractors. Forcing Ghost to come and aid him, while Soap and Rodolfo entered the training area.

There, they saw that Graves brought a tank, which forced Soap to look around for C4s, while Rodolfo guided him through the radio. After a long and tedious battle, Soap managed to destroy the tank, seemingly killing Graves. He and Rodolfo then rallied at the destroyed tank, where they had a short conversation, Soap then reported to Ghost that Graves was K.I.A and asked how was Price. To which Ghost replied jokingly: "Angry. Lost a good cigar in the crash..." and also affirmed that the pilot was okay.

After the door to Valeria's container was opened by Rodolfo, Task Force 141 and Alejandro confronted Valeria, there, she taunted Alejandro. Before being interrupted by Price and Ghost, who asked her for the location of the third missile and Hassan, to which Valeria replied: "Chicago". This made Task Force 141 surprised and angered, Price then called Laswell for exfil as Task Force 141 left Valeria to Alejandro and the Los Vaqueros. Once Valeria is brought into a car, waiting to be transported to a prison, Alejandro and Rodolfo said their goodbyes to Soap and Ghost.

Trivia[]

  • In the beginning cutscene, when Alejandro rallies his men, the song "141" can be heard faintly in the background.
  • The code used to open the doors, 6-2-7, is a reference to the original John Price from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 who was referred as Prisoner 627.
  • Alejandro will not throw the initial Smoke Grenade if the player quickly passes by him and successfully evades the laser.
  • The player will have less reserve ammo for their weapons each time the mission switches between Soap and Gaz's perspectives.
  • The suppressed Expedite 12, BAS-P, and MX9 from the first appearing Shadows are coated with "Concrete Jungle" camouflage where as other weapons used by Shadow Company are coated in "Shadow Tiger", originally called "Eclipse", camouflage.
  • The player can use the turreted vehicle in front of the Fuerzas Especiales headquarters should it not be destroyed.
  • The scene where Alejandro, Gaz, and Price arrive at the compound was shown differently in the Reveal Trailer, as they were accompanied by Ghost and Soap, and none of them besides Ghost wore a mask.
    • Furthermore, if the player spooks the Shadow Company contractors in the tunnel, Alejandro will say: "Careful, Soap, almost blew our cover...!". This seems to suggest that Soap was intended to be the playable character in this segment at one point.
  • When playing with Simplified Chinese subtitles on, Graves' line "You think this is a fucking game out here?" is translated as "你以为自己在玩《使命召唤》吗?" (You think you are playing Call of Duty?).
  • The event of this mission is mentioned by Alex Keller in the intro cinematic cutscene of Season Five. However, Alex mentions that Graves supposedly died in South America, whereas the mission took place in Mexico, which is located in the southern end of North America.
