Butterbean's Café is a 3D computer-animated television series created by Jonny Belt and Robert Scull, creators of Bubble Guppies, that was ordered by and debuted on Nickelodeon[1] in the US on November 12, 2018 and ended on November 1, 2020. Its sister preschool channel, Nick Jr., carried its broadcast on its corresponding global channels from January 8, 2019 and Treehouse TV carried the Canadian broadcast. The series moved to the Nick Jr. channel in the U.S from August 25, 2019. Nick also made the series available on-demand globally via Amazon Prime Video and Apple iTunes Store and only in the British Isles in the UK and Ireland via Sky.
On June 4, 2019, Nickelodeon through its parent company, Viacom, announced its renewal for a second season - the same for Abby Hatcher, with the network also renewing current preschool favorites: PAW Patrol and Bubble Guppies for new seasons.[2][3]
Premise[]
Butterbean is a young fairy who, with her little sister, Cricket and her friends; Poppy, Dazzle and, later on, Jasper, head to Puddlebrook, a magical land filled with thousands of anthropomorphic chipmunks and rabbits to open up and ran a café. Trying to put a stop to them is the fussy Ms. Marmalady, who will stop at nothing to put her out of business, with her monkey aides, only to always fail.
Each episode focuses on Butterbean and her friends as they work together to create fun new recipes while holding interview sessions with the viewers to discuss the current situations happening on-scene.

- This is the first of 4 new series ordered by the network to speed up preschool programming on its its preschool sister channel.[4]
- The voice artist for Dazzle, Olivia Grace Manning, got nominated at the 46th Daytime Emmy Awards in 2019 for the category of Outstanding Performer in a Children's, Preschool Children's or Educational and Informational Program which she lost to Dove Cameron of Liv and Maddie fame.

This series' pilot/debut episode drew as many viewers as available on Nick Jr. for the first time since PAW Patrol's debut in 2013, i.e. the network scored double-figures in ratings, drawing 727,000 Kids 2–5 and 2 million total viewers.[5][6]
