Yezzan zo Qaggaz is an extremely wealthy slave trader and one of the Wise Masters of Yunkai.[2] He is said to be the richest man in the Yellow City, and has great influence because of this.[3]
In the television adaptation Game of Thrones, Yezzan is portrayed by Enzo Cilenti.[4]

Appearance and Character
Yezzan has yellow eyes. He is so morbidly obese he can no longer stand, and is described as being large enough to make four of Illyrio Mopatis. He is sickly, and cannot hold his water, and so always smells of urine that even perfume cannot hide. He wears yellow silk tokars with gold fringe.[2]
While overweight, he is still shrewd and intelligent, a trait some of the other Wise Masters do not share.[2]
Yezzan is obsessed with grotesques, and often purchases slaves with physical deformities to add to his "collection".[5]
Tyrion Lannister and several of his other slaves believe Yezzan to be "not that bad" compared to some of the other slavers. He treats his slaves well, as long as they obey and cause no trouble, and his slaves are usually well fed and looked after.[3] The slaves in Yezzan's collection wear gilded iron collars, with his name incised in Valyrian glyphs; a pair of tiny bells are affixed below the ears, so the wearer produces a tinkling sound with every step.[2]
History
Yezzan has come to own a boy with hairy, deformed legs resembling a goat's legs, a bearded woman, a feeble-minded two-headed girl from Mantarys, and a hermaphrodite named Sweets, who also sleeps with him.[5][2] Yezzan used to own a giant, who he would make copulate with slave women so he could watch. However, the giant died, and Yezzan would pay much gold to acquire a new one.[5]
According to Sweets, Yezzan contracted some disease ten years ago while in Sothoryos, and has been dying ever since, "rotting from the inside out". If anyone makes him forget this even for a little while, they are well rewarded by him.[2]
Recent Events
A Dance with Dragons
Members of the Windblown, a sellsword company that is hired by Yunkai, mock Yezzan as the "Yellow Whale", and gossip about his collection of grotesques.[5]
When peace is made between Meereen and Yunkai, a slave market is set up outside Meereen.[6] Yezzan purchases several slaves there. Tyrion Lannister, Penny, and Jorah Mormont are also up for sale, and Tyrion forces a bidding war between Yezzan, Ben Plumm, the Girl General, and Zahrina, but Yezzan bids five thousand silver pieces for the lot and wins. He gives his new slaves into the charge of his overseer, Nurse, and Tyrion and Penny become part of Yezzan's grotesquerie.[2]
Yezzan is one of the few Yunkish lords who wishes to honor the peace between Yunkai and Meereen. He dies of the pale mare that spread throughout the Yunkish siege lines, and several of his slaves use the opportunity to escape, including Tyrion, Penny, and Jorah.[3]
Quotes
Covered all in yellow silk fringed with gold, he looked as large as four Illyrios. Tyrion pitied the slaves who had to carry him. At least we will be spared that duty. What joy to be a dwarf.[2]
—thoughts of Tyrion Lannister
Tyrion was quite certain that he did not want to become the property of the immense Lord Yellowbelly. Just the sight of him sagging across his litter, a mountain of sallow flesh with piggy yellow eyes and breasts big as Pretty Pig pushing at the silk of his tokar was enough to make the dwarf's skin crawl. And the smell wafting off him was palpable even on the block.[2]
—thoughts of Tyrion Lannister
Count yourselves fortunate, for Yezzan is a kindly and benevolent master.[2]
His eyes are yellow, and he stinks.[2]
Make him forget that he is dying, even for a little while, and he can be most generous. Deny him nothing.[2]
