Qalen was a maester who served at Pyke for House Greyjoy.[2]
History
After Greyjoy's Rebellion, Tristifer Botley and four other boys were brought to Pyke to be fostered by Lady Alannys Harlaw. After Maester Qalen found Tristifer inappropriately touching Asha Greyjoy, the daughter of Lord Balon Greyjoy, the boy was promptly shipped off to Blacktyde.[3]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
Qalen died before the return of Theon Greyjoy to Pyke, and his duties were taken by Maester Wendamyr. Helya tells Theon that Qalen now sleeps in the sea.[2]
