Tokyo Gardens Geisha

When I saw this beautiful Geisha image at SheepSkiDesigns,

I got an idea, what I just HAD to test right away.

Paper piecing with Gecko Galz Tokyo Garden papers.

For the little boys

I was trying out The Smackin' Acetate technique,

and really like these two backgrounds I came up with.

Sentiment is from Unity Stamps, little boy stamp

from Carabelle. Stars are made by using stencil and DO ink.

I have a summer flu thinky going on

and between naps I watched some

crafting tutorials from YouTube.

Happened to see this "Smackin' Acetate"

and wanted to try it with my Zig markers.

This was my first try,

I think I used color too wide ...

live an learn ... I also colored my

stamp (Katzelkraft) with Zig markers.

Didn't add a sentiment, thought it would

steal the attention from the fish.

Just layered on black cardstock.

I was asked to make a B-day card for a

50 years old man - with a pipe in the card.

Well, don't really have any images / or papers

with pipes, but I did find 3D pictures.

Using sunny image from "Let's make Lemonaid" set.

I added a little color for the background usin DI and

sentiment is made from stickers.

Sunflowers

Another card using my brown cardbases and

to meet Gecko Galz "Retro Summer" challenge.

Sunflower is from Gecko Galz June's freebie sheet.

Same flower 3 times, I just resized it and layered it.

Then some backing paper (love to recycle) and 3

cute wooden chicken. Didn't add any sentiment:

it's good to have some "Anything goes" cards, :=)

Sunny Summerdays

Gecko Galz theme for the June blog challenge is

Retro Summer. I printed this paper from

Tokyo Gardens paper set and hope it looks

retro enough to meet the challenge theme.

I used brown card base (something I found from a sale)

made some flowers using my bunchies (kinda "found" them after a long while)

and micro peans and stamped the sentiment on a vellum,

sentiment says: sunny summer days
